A Miles Magister aircraft G-AITO crashed into a house in South
Nutfield on 19th November 1951. The two occupants Mr. A. Holmes
and Mr. W. Webster were killed when their machine crashed into
the back garden of the home of Mrs Daisy Morris at Nutfield.
Mrs Morris had gone into the garden to collect some washing from
the clothes line when the aircraft crashed immediately behind her.
She was rescued by neighbours. The Planed was owned by Redhill
Flying Club. Keystone Press Agency Ltd.

The aircraft in the picture is actually a Miles Hawk Trainer and it crashed on the 29th November 1953 - not the 19th November 1951. Also, the registration of the crashed aircraft is G-AIYD - not G-AITO.
